Although a decision is only due in three months, Midland F1 team boss Alex Schnaider says it would be "good" to run with Ferrari power.
The new team is expected to join the paddock in 2006 in cars built by Dallara and will be headed by Formula 3 boss Trevor Carlin. Midland's Headquarters will be situated at Carlin Motorsport, close to Silverstone; with approximately 70 staff members while the cars will be designed and built in Italy.

Both Ferrari and Cosworth are on the newcomers' list of possible engine suppliers, but a decision has not yet been made.

"It would be good to have a Ferrari engine on the Midland cars. It's a possibility at the moment," Schnaider told the Cazetta dello Sport.

"I'm waiting for some answers, and from Cosworth too. We'll take a decision within three months."
