I'm making the option to have the sensors in a very small separate enclosure (1 inch) to make it easy to fit to the car if it's tight with space and mounting options. This means a small cable between the small cpu box and the sensor unit.

If you have any preferences to a connector please let me know now when I'm designing the case!

It needs four connections, of which one is ground.

It's very low level signal only so a thin cable.

Something like this?
Biltema 44157 + 44156

Searched for dimensions, didn't find any at Biltema, maybe I was blind? I think they are sold under "superseal" elsewhere, I'll look a bit more.

But..... if we use two cable mounted connectors, no chassi mounted, we just need a hole for the cable out of the enclosure, so maybe that's the most flexible solution?

Hi!
I think that cable-mounted connector is best, gives more flexibility when mounting

Ifm is top quality, but might be a little bit too pricy?
Male / female m8 4p cable, cut in half and with the connectors in the engine bay.
With a corresponding connector to a charger, we don't even have to open the engine bay box to charge?
But now it seems like it's time to skip the lipo and run it on 12v?

Yup, with this small separate sensor housing + the main cpu board housing I'd suggest running two cables from the main housing, one cable to 12V and one cable to the sensors.

And if everyone is fine with cable connectors - no connectors on the actual housings - I'll just make indents on the housing to mark where to drill small holes to fit with the cable diameter one chooses. Very flexible, choose 12V or charge, choose separate or built in sensors.

The 12V to lower voltage conversion is on the PCB I've made with some cheap components. The only issue I see now is distribution of PCBs to anyone who wants it....

The sensor "ball" is 4cm in diameter.

The holder is either mounted behind/through a 6 cm hole in the plastic inner fender or on "top" on the inner fender plastic or metal.

EDIT: updated files further below

Absolut! Men ska jag inte testprinta och fixa eventuella buggar först och sen lägga upp dom (jag har redan hittat en grov )? Eller är du nyfiken att kika redan nu?

most curious,
But my idea was also to adjust the shape so that it fits my car,
with step I can use the files in the cad program and remodel if necessary

Lousy at math... it needs five wires.

Ground, Power, Two data wires and finally a distance sensor reset.

Isn't it a problem with that box?
What's missing?
Clue:

It's for test print. Not final

This type of connector is nice? Less weight and more car-ish
than the m8. Up to 6 pins.

Really interesting and good work Magnus!
Looks like something for Bettan!
What's the weight?

1.Of each sensor.
2. Of the sensor mounting
3. Of the cpu-box?
