RMA brings Michelin Pilot Sport Challenge to Silverstone


RMA track day drivers now have the opportunity to pit their driving skills against competitors from across Europe as part of the Michelin Pilot Sport Experience - a track day program being delivered in the UK in partnership with Michelin tyres.

The Pilot Sport Challenge revolves around delivering the most consistent lap times for a given circuit. Participants are provided with a free Michelin lap timer app (based on the acclaimed "Harry's Lap Timer") for their smartphone. They then set a reference lap time which they aim to reproduce for a series of laps. From a starting score, points are deducted for each tenth of a second either above or below their target time. The winner is the most consistent driver.

The UK rounds will be held on RMA Track days taking place at Silverstone on June 5 and September 17. Please book now to avoid disappointment.


All entrants will receive:

-- Michelin Lap Timer App pre-loaded with many of the world's top circuits
-- Advice and tips from driving tutor Scott Mansell and tyre advice from Michelin, before, during and after the event.
-- Exclusive access to instructional videos on driving some of Europe's best-known circuits, delivered by leading racing drivers
-- The opportunity to pre-order Michelin tyres for their track day car (NB it is a requirement that cars are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres to participate in the Challenge), which can be fitted trackside

-- The overall European winner will be invited to Le Mans with their guest in 2015, hospitality courtesy of Michelin.
