Hjälp med engelska "spec" termer

Hej!
Jag var precis inne på Fords hemsida och kollade på info om Ford GT. Men när jag läste spec sidan så stod det med tre saker under exterior dimensions fliken som jag inte förstod. Dessa var:

overall Shadow (sq ft): 96.8
Approach Angle (deg): 9.2
Departure Angle (deg): 14.0

Någon som kan förklara vad som menas med dessa termer? och gjärna en beskrivning om vilka värden som ä'r eftersträvningsvärda. Till exempel om Ford GT's värden ä'r bra och gjärna hur dem står sig mot andra bilar. Både andra sportbilar och mer4 vanliga bilar.

overall Shadow is the amount of road space the car takes; basically the length times the width of the car - this value is typically used to discourage SUVs - which take up a massive amount of road space
Approach Angle is the maximum angle the car can handle when driving forwards - this value is typically used for 4x4 and should be as big as possible
Departure Angle is the maximum angle the car can handle when driving backwards

None of these values is really useful for a sportscar...

ok. Då fattar jag shadow. Men förstår inte riktigt approach angle. Är det hur brant backe man kan köra bilen i?

Unless you are about to board the ferry and are worried you wont clear the ramp.

Från 4x4 Glossary:
"When viewed from the side, this is the angle between the ground and a line running from the tyre to the front bumper or other low-hanging component. This angle gives an indication of how steep a ramp a vehicle can negotiate without damage. It gives a good indication of a vehicle's ability to climb over rocks and logs without hitting and potentially damaging the front part of the vehicle's body or chassis."

Approach Angle är hur brant vinkel man kan kora bilen på en gång.
