this was contained in an Email from a member of my team (which is sponsored by EA Sports) sent to our mailing list. Good news!!

"Hey guys, I just talked with a guy who is part of the development team for the new F1 Career Challenge and from what he is saying there has been lots and lots of changes to multiplayer. The netcode has been improved drastically, he did not go into any real details, probably to spare me a little confusion. All he did say was the netcode was the best he has ever seen, as good or better than Nascar 2003 ..."

"... He also had other little tid bits regarding the game, some I was disappointed with but most were exciting. It should be released in 3-4 more weeks and then we will see. All you online racers just hang on a bit longer, help is on the way!"

"... I was told the physics have been totally reworked ... I only talked with Jeff for about 5 minutes and was asking lots of question about multiplayer aspects of the game. He did acknowledge the physics model had been reworked tho. The graphics have also been "upgraded" and he said one of the main goals at ISI was the total imersion of the F1 experience had been enhanced. My source did not work on the F1 project, he was involved with the nascar project, but he did say there was a friendly competition between the two development teams therefore he was very knowledable of both sims. He stated that Nascar team had a much bigger budget than the F1 team, but the F1 teams results were as good or better than the Nascar teams. He said the F1 team went above and beyond the scope of work that was given to them by EA sports. He said EA sports got more bang for the buck with the F1 sim. I was not the least bit excited about this new F1 sim untill I talked with him and now he has me counting down the days untill the release date."
