Blivit erbjuden att köpa Martin Hoffmans kärra inklusive trailer för ett rätt bra pris tror jag.

Vad tror ni? Den har varit vinnarbilen två år på raken.

Bifogar ett mail jag fick av honom:

Well, I don't know what specs you would like to know... You've seen the car running and right now I just need to take it to the mechanic to check how it finished after the last race, which we won by the way and not easily, it was a fun race. right now it sounds like its missing power on 1 cylinder and might be as simple as the spark plug but in any case its time for the normal preventive work or "refreshment" (refrescada as we call it), before it races again.



I hear the 2010 regulations are published or can get them with the organizers; some minor changes are being made to make them faster. Mainly it's on the camshaft, the gear that connects crankshaft and camshaft and allowing more specialized work on the cylinder heads to improve flow (flujearlas) which I understand is like equalizing volume air flow on all cylinders. This work should increase performance to the level of the Monterrey VW series which run about 1 second faster per lap.

If you want to race with current specs you should be able to, since they are supposed to be lower performance, BUT that doesn't mean you wouldn't be competitive because even with new specs or rules the mechanics need to find the right "settings".



About the car:

I've heard the engine makes about 80 hp. 1,600 c.c. (never actually measured horsepower).

Racing Camshaft per 2009 rules (Engle W110)

High strength cromoly push rods.

Standard 1 throat carburetor prepared per 2009 rules. (bought brand new end of 2007).

The engine block has only 2 seasons of use. (no oil leaks, no loss of pressure, it was bought brand new end of 2007)

The cylinder heads work has proven good with 9 races with no problems. (not standard, prepared by mechanic per 2009 rules)

The transmission is standard street level 4 gears and was refurbished mid season 2009. (clutch is not racing level but no problems all season and no changes)

Bilstein shocks on the rear and standard gas shocks on front (can get the front Bilstein as well if wanted).

Stabilizer bars front and rear.

Roll cage.

Racing level tachometer AUTOMETER. (NOT the "fast and furious" type that may look good but low quality).

Racing short shifter- (Scatt, you don't miss a shift and should never break).

Tires changed mid 2009 season, very good grip for what's allowed per rules. (195-50 R-15 MAXXIS, you have at least 1 full season of tires if there's no punctures).

The car weights about 800 kg.



About the trailer:

Not much to say here, we bought used and have done major work on it to make it safe.

New tires

Axel floats on leaf springs for softer ride and to avoid trailer damage from vibration.

Should be able to hold car of similar weight and size

Attached ramps with easy holding mechanism

Stop lights and connector installed.



We won 4 or 5 races and the championship on 2008 and won 7 races and the championship on 2009.
