Tråkiga nyheter.

Efter vad jag läste på ett mail på Ringers nu så omkom två Engelsmän när deras Ferrari kraschade i Schwedenkreuz i dag.

I don't know if everyone has heard about it or not, the guys who are there heard about it for sure, I just read about it on www.touristenfahrer.de. There it says that two Englishmen died in their Ferrari today at Schwedenkreuz. Apparently the car left the track, rolled and then burnt out. I don't know how accurate this is, but my condolences go out to the families and friends in any case.

Trist, men det är ju också ett av de farligaste avsnitten på banan. Var det inte där tyske Fiatchefen omkom för några år sedan på träningen inför 24-timmarsloppet?

I am sorry to report that there was a bad smash this afternoon, we were chatting at about 14.45 in the car park when a newish looking 360? modena with UK plates left the gates, we were talking about the fact that they don't handle, are better in the car park etc etc.. at about 15.00 a closure was declared, Caz was with us and her mobile started to ring, it was Jocke, he arrived 20 - 30 seconds after it happened, he came over flugplatz and saw the smoke from the burning 360. It had spun out at S-Kruez landed on it's roof, and caught on fire. They have just said on local radio that the driver was English and the passenger was a German. They both died.

Fy sjutton, hoppas de slapp plågas i lågorna.
Man undrar ju om man leker med döden när man är där...
