This is the complete shifter mechanism with short shift unit already integrated. Reduces the shift travel with 35%.

To install a B&M short shift lever or the factory retrofit kit (also made by B&M) , you actually need to destroy the 2 main pvc bushes of the original shifting mechanism in order to install the short shifter mechanism.
This damage is irreversible so once the short shifter is installed, it is no longer possible to return to the stock setup.

This short shifter mechanism (not made by B&M) replaces the complete shifter mechanism so there is no need for chiseling out the bushes or any other modification. Install this part and you have the shorter shift exactly like the cars that came with the optional short shifter from the factory.
Where an aftermarket short shifter is not covered, this part is covered by warranty and it is 100% reversible to stock when needed. Because it is a completely pre-assembled shifter unit, the installation is much easier than retrofitting the shift lever into the mechanism.
